Dance Production – “Blend“

“Blend” is a dialogue between art forms from two continents: Classical Western music and Classical South Indian dance. It brings together compositions of Ludwig van Beethoven, Johann Sebastian Bach, Johannes Brahms, Reinhold Glière, and Heinrich Schmelzer, through Violin and Cello music and Bharatanāṭyam dance. This production unveils a deep cultural and emotional connection between the East and the West. The production is a narrative, taking the viewer on a journey of a Nāyika (heroine), who is in love with her beloved.
